The Persistence Memory Of My Son Poem by Tony Williams Williams

The Persistence Memory Of My Son

The Persistence of memory. Each person perceives in his or her own way.
The Persistence of memory. Each person perceives in his or her own way.

As time passes by. We live to see another day.

I remember when I met you. Still inside your mother's womb.

Our child prodigy. Me and your mom just know.

Even to this day I am still yet so proud of you.
No man or woman is perfect. Even Jesus knew.

I remember when I saw you and held you close with in my arms. I then promised the Lord. That I would not let you, come to no harm.

The Persistence of memory. Yet memories may come and yet some memories my fade.

I remember as you became a man. That you must live life your own special way.

So many things I wish. I could've done better for you.

I just hope you realize, that I always truly love you.

The Persistence of memory. My thoughts and dreams of you, 'Antonio' will never fade.

I will always remember you. From that very first day.
