The Places We'Ve Come Poem by kendyll brown

The Places We'Ve Come

this is where i say
iv had enough
noone should ever feel the way
i feel now

im a walking open wound
a trophy display of bruises
an i dont believe that im getting any better
any better

waiting here with hopes
of fall will bring
an im thinking awful things
pretty sure if u would notice

an this aparment
is starving for an arguement
anything at all
to break the silence

wandering this house
like iv never wanted out
an this is about as social
as i get now

an im throwing away the letters
im writing you
cause they were never due
i would never do
never

an this apartment
is starving for an arguement
anything at all
to break the silence

well dont be a liar
dont say
everythings working
when everythings broken

an u smile like the same
but u curse like a sailor
an ur eyes say
the jokes on me

well im not laughing
an your bot leaving
so who do i think i am kidding
cause im the only one locked in a cell

waiting here with hopes
of fall will bring
an im thinking awful things
pretty sure, if you would notice
