The Pleading Poem by Kenzie Brown

The Pleading

The sonorous calls of the heavenly
Plead for our souls to join them.
Not yet we simultaneously explain.
This life we have created
Is not exhausted.
Our tasks are not completed, and
If we leave now, the concluded
Results will be tedious.
One more moment could mean
A lifetime.
So we say goodbye.
Our last from many before.
Possessions we longed for exist
No more.
Together,
We have vanished into time.
Unending and ruthless time.
