The Poetry Of Departure
{even The Longest Nights Must Bow To The Dawn}
As the longest night bows to the misery of dawn,
sorrow knows it cannot stay Forever.
Over time
life has humbled me,
Experience has taught me the lesson of heartache,
Heartache has become my truth,
And my truth is immune to criticism.
Tears fall and fading whispers give way to silence,
These worn hands clutch to hope and lost chances
as fates cruel smiles stings again!
yet again!
moments are missed,
fragile moments.
And I realise
You don't like me enough to know me,
You don't know me enough to hate me!
this is the last time,
the last farewell,
This is the poetry of departure.
