The Pond Poem by Duy Bui

The Pond

Awaken to the still world
Soundlessness, clear envisioned
The intervallic dog barking,
beyond the water dinned the ears, aghast
That capacious pond,
perduring, a mirror of heaven
Old lovers’ reflections cling
Equably, I looked for my poise
Did I miss the day’s harvest?
Or the sun’s at its astral yellow?
The gazing pond, she cogitates tirelessly
