The Promise Of Nirvana Poem by Mohammad Yousef

The Promise Of Nirvana

By Mohammad A Yousef

In the silence of the heart,
where shadows dance with light,
there lies a whisper,
a soft, tender promise,
like dew on morning petals,
like the first breath of dawn,
a promise of Nirvana.

It glimmers in the distance,
a horizon kissed by the sun,
where mountains cradle the sky,
and rivers sing to the stones,
a place where desires dissolve,
like mist under the sun's warm gaze,
where the weight of the world
melts into a gentle sigh.

Imagine a garden,
where the air is thick with jasmine,
and laughter floats like butterflies,
where every leaf tells a story
of release and awakening,
where the soul, unburdened,
finds its melody in stillness,
the sweet surrender to the now.

Here, in this sacred space,
the echoes of longing fade,
and every heartbeat is a prayer,
each moment a brushstroke
on the canvas of eternity,
colors blending, swirling,
in a dance of unity,
where all that is,
is woven into the tapestry of being.

The promise of Nirvana,
not a place, but a state,
a softening of edges,
a gentle unraveling of self,
like a river flowing,
unfettered by rocks or banks,
carving its path through the earth,
finding its way,
to an ocean of peace.

In the depths of the soul,
in the quiet corners of existence,
lies the truth we seek,
the light that flickers,
the flame that never dims,
the promise of connection,
to all that has been,
to all that will be.

Let go, it whispers,
of the chains that bind you,
the stories you cling to,
the fears that shackle your spirit,
for in letting go,
you will find,
the freedom of the wind,
the joy of the stars,
the embrace of the infinite.

In the promise of Nirvana,
we are both the seeker and the sought,
the journey and the destination,
flowing like water through the cracks,
of our own making,
finding solace in the transition,
the beauty in the becoming,
the grace in the surrender.

So, breathe deep,
feel the pulse of the universe,
the rhythm of existence,
and know that the promise,
is not a distant dream,
but a reality,
woven into the fabric of now,
waiting for you to awaken,
waiting for you to remember,
the truth of your essence,
the promise of Nirvana.
