If you return broken and despairing,
my hand will not rest upon your back.
Yet along this painful journey,
I will become the canopy of your resolve.
Come, let me bring you before the fire,
imbue your soul with the warmth of trust,
cleanse you in the bath of herbs,
until the mirror of heart and spirit shines clear.
Leave behind the dark chains of the inner self—
heedlessness, deception, shadows of falsehood—
that have bound you in captivity.
I will touch you with the softness of pashmina,
seat you upon the fresh dew of meadows.
You will lift your eyes to the sky,
and recognize the Ocean of Unity,
your beginning, and your end.
I will breathe upon your forehead—
closed doors of thought will open.
I will breathe upon your tongue—
words of truth will be born anew.
I will breathe upon your heart—
walls of fear and despair will crumble
and sink into the breast of the earth.
I will awaken the light in your heart's eye,
the inner blaze will flare alive,
and you will reach the shore of Oneness,
where every mask of duality dissolves.
I will quench the fire of hunger, ego, and lust,
scatter false love like ashes in the wind,
so you may play in your true nature.
The spells of misguiding leaders will shatter,
a fresh tide will surge in your love,
so you may feel,
create, and live anew.
I will breathe upon your hands—
the monuments of falsehood will fall to dust.
I will breathe upon your feet—
the marks of delusion will fade away.
I will breathe life into your servitude,
so you may bow your head in devotion.
I will fill your spine with steadfastness,
so you may walk firm upon the Straight Path.
Then you will plunge into the deep ocean of stillness,
dreams will honor you with meaning and beauty.
When you awaken, I will be waiting,
to brighten your face with a smile,
and you too shall smile.
I will show you treasures of blessing,
the taste of provision laced with contentment.
We will wander together in the gardens
where greenness is eternal,
where silent songs flow.
Then I shall speak to you in a tongue
neither of word nor sound.
You will hear it—
in the beat of your heart, the whisper of forests,
the very melody of every instrument echoing the song of love.
