The Pyramid Poem by Lauren Humphrey

The Pyramid

Four years ago,
We were tiny little specs
On the social pyramid.
Now we rule,
As kings and queens.
We squash those beneath,
And mock those at the bottom.
Soon well be small specs again,
But on a larger pyramid,
A pyramid named life.
Four years ago,
We started a journey.
Now it’s coming to a finish.
But all is not lost; all was not for nothing.
Tomorrow starts a new adventure,
And the next day starts another.
Keep your heads up little specs,
Soon we will all find our ruling power.
