The Question Of Life

Wisdom is not to life the way
Knowledge can’t win death’s crown
Such things can even lead astray
And soil the whitest gown

But who have faith in Jesus’ name
Who’s trust is in God’s Son
May leave this world devoid of shame
And have life’s battles won

God’s love on earth is ours to give
Through Jesus Christ on high
Through righteousness may servants live
But where is such to buy?

True virtue comes through trusting Christ
God’s righteousness divine
When blood He shed when sacrificed
We drink as priceless wine

But life’s not wine its not the bread
Its not a church or creed
With these and more we’d still be dead
Without Salvation’s Seed

Eternal life from God is real
Through Christ we’ve nought to pay
We need but fore His cross to kneel
And in His name to pray

In truth we must be bornagain
We need God’s Holy Breath
We must be free of spot and stain
To flee from certain death

The facts of life we’ll understand
We’ll see the devil’s lies
We’ll feel such joy in Jesus’ hand
And witness death’s demise.
