The Real Treasure Poem by Bancroft Boreland

The Real Treasure

Rating: 4.0

All the precious stones that exist
Is not enough to buy even
One minute of any day
Money can only buy the things
That mean little or nothing
It’s the things that we cannot buy
That mean everything
Like happiness and the people we love
Every breath we take
Is a reason to celebrate
There is something that we all have in common:
Every living organism wants to survive
Our eyes are open but
Some of us still cannot see
That life is the only real treasure

A treasure we can all have forever…
