The Reality Of Unity Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Reality Of Unity

Unity is not loneliness,
but singularity itself—
to remain hidden in a crowd,
concealed at the core.
It radiates from center,
encompasses all being,
swallows every border,
then pares the edges of the self.
Yet only boundaries dissolve;
Unity, fixed as a compass to its pole,
reigns sovereign at the heart.

It awakens the self
and conquers all that lies around,
obliterating separate dominions
to build an everlasting realm.
It lifts the self aloft,
merges it with heights above,
and beyond the last obedient star
traverses the void.
Above the empty cosmos,
Unity builds a universe entire,
dwelling in infinite curves
incomprehensible to the dualistic mind.

Unity elevates man toward the unseen,
conquers peaks beyond approach,
and leaves him on mountain summits
to behold its beauty, majesty, perfection.
It teaches without counselor,
severs ignorance without punishment.
This is humanity's truth:
it propels man beyond transcendence itself.

Unity lets him taste its radiance,
reveals its cool elegance.
It conquers eyes,
adorns all things with dignity,
stands the soul in grandeur,
and strips away all vanity.
Its silence swallows not the soul,
but the body's abyssal clamor,
and answers without uproar—
with melodies the ear of spirit hears
in solitude and congregation.

Unity—not isolation, but sovereignty.
The mind of Wahdat al-Wujud is patient.
Its heart is steadfast in its knowing.
It lends nothing of itself,
lets no belief falter.

Unity is more ancient than all things,
surpasses time itself.
Calling worlds into existence,
it inscribes its truth anew.
Creation without substance—this is Unity's majesty.
To reign sovereign within creation's realm—
this is Unity's supremacy, beyond which nothing stands.

Only the soul that knows Unity
truly knows itself.
And every soul that knows itself
abides, with itself, alone.
