The Revelation Poem by Kavita Kilam

The Revelation

THE REVELATION
Do you see what I see?
The mortality of being 'me'
the trapped tormented soul
struggling to break free
though the epiphany is slow
as the pain it's to undergo
the nebulous wailing grows
supressed, secretive, morose

Do you feel what I feel?
The next pretentious act
the quiet desolate sojourn
of the grotesque lifetime
Maunders for the ethereal light
Does it know that it has to go
get the panacea of all those woes
the cries abate, silence prevails
And then..
Ah! the freedom, the spirit flies
Breaks the shackles... let it rise

But I know
You can't see what I see
As you can never be 'me '.Do you see what I see?
