The Ride Of Envy Poem by Joseph Sakyiamah

The Ride Of Envy

Silence as the night sweeps us to bed,
‎Seal lips, as a burden awake us,
‎While we smile, they frown at our crown,

‎Wishing us to weep like the sky,
‎As our rain becomes sudden,
‎They never see us a mile,

‎As we slip, they see us their dish,
‎Waiting to serve with pain,
‎Until they say, cheers to our gloom.
