The Rites Of Spring - Poem by Alfonso Siverls

its onset swings my mood
and optimism surfaces
like budding flowers
and fills me with the scent of life

yesterday’s trivial fades
with each extended daylight moment
and my circadian beat adjust to a new tempo
providing me with an up-rhythm to my walk

a new day
a new season
another chance
to get it right
