The Rose Of Whoever Poem by Wesley Willis

The Rose Of Whoever

Rating: 5.0

Eyes were gazing deep in thought it is because
your beauty has made the flowers blush
your shoulders are pleading for a needed friend
I know there contains a broken heart within

If I were younger and time were nothing
I would surrender your heart to a poet's page
your glance is all it takes for a fluttered rush
I have every curve on your face memorized

'All so beautiful' I am so mesmerized
memories have etched a frown above your brow
Hands that pluck a rose are pricked by thorns of rage
you may be whoever's Guardian Angel

you are the missing link to everything
you are Heavens Heaven from every angle
you are the girl whose name rhymes with Glory
you won't have to tell me your story

of the nightmares from your tortured past
smile a smile, you're a star's beginning blast
You have reminded me of my first Love
you could have been her sister's identical twin

but the years were too many in between
eyes were gazing deep in thought it is because
you are the melody of my carnation
and hearts of truest love destination

so if time were nothing you would be my Queen
but there are too many years in between
too many years in between
Her initials were tossed carelessly somewhere.

T.L.C.
Remembering her with 'tender loving care.'

Her memory, Feb-12-1980
