The Rubbles Poem by Asma Khan

The Rubbles

I have lived all fears alone
for I don't fear the shore
wearing the attire of waves
has cost my life and happiness
for I don't bear that skin anymore

Your companionship was a dream
given in charity
for I don't wish to ask for enough
living those moments has
quenched my thirst silently

I am not skilled for this life to live
for I don't know
what becomes of me after you]
whenever recollected from the rubbles,
These memories will always
make my days festive
