The Schizophrenic Public Outcry Poem by S. Wesley Mcgranor

The Schizophrenic Public Outcry

My religion
exists in my mind,
my own private mind,
and I am free.

I have a god
somewhere;
get out of my religion,
and give me back my god.

Or share,
take,
give.

The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion:

Civic religion -
patriotism,
Civil religion -
police and courts.

Natural Law
grant me
the Clockmaker's
inalienable rights.

In a world
of their own
no more
as ego
dawns upon them:

Paranoid
Schizoid
Schizotypal
Disorganized
Catatonic
Schizoaffective
Undifferentiated
and Childhood Schizophrenia
