The Shadow - Poem by Kimberley Waldron

The shadow is a form of yourself
just waiting to break out of its shell
you keep it hidden from all nearby
because you are afraid of their evil eyes

The shadow is person just as you and me
forced to walk as your company
no one will speak or know its there
for reason because they are too scared

The shadow is a ghost of your former life
He tries to tell you all the time
but sadly you hide and cover your ears
because the shadow shrikes in fear

The shadow may help you find your way
if only you would let him in
but then again they aren't quiet nice
so keep your shadow two steps behind
