When the bird calls,
My heart skips a beat.
I wake up.
I cross so many paths,
Wandering from one end
To the other,
Like Kolkata's winding alleys;
Yet, my love!
With a dream in my eyes,
I follow the bird
That flew far away
And return with it,
Just like you,
In this world.
For how many days
Have you walked
Along the riverbank
Or left footprints on the sand,
Heading towards the light,
Towards the waves?
I've pulled you back
Time and again.
Does the ocean have a shore,
I wonder - the vast ocean? '
