The Sky Is On Fire Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Sky Is On Fire

The Sky Is On Fire

The sky is on fire—
not with wrath, not with war,
but with tongues of light
speaking a language
older than words.

Gold rises. Scarlet deepens.
Evening opens its ribs,
and something nameless
breathes between them.

Clouds become embers,
edges lit
with what the heart knows
and the tongue cannot tell.

The sun, a weary traveler,
sets its burning crown
on the waiting sea.
The horizon goes quiet,
as if eternity
paused to look at itself.

Birds cross the flame,
black stitches
in a garment of fire,
and the world remembers
what it forgot:
no place
light has not touched.

Parking lot, rooftop, highway, sea
lose their differences.
Concrete glows. Water glows.
Every upturned face
becomes a silent mirror.

No name. No creed.
Only wonder.

The sky is on fire
and nothing burns.

Light does not come
only to devour.
Sometimes it comes
to show that everything
was luminous
from the beginning.
