The Smell Of Jasmines Poem by Allegro Leon K.

The Smell Of Jasmines

Rating: 5.0

I looked at the world
Through the eyes of a young boy,
Under the Songs of the Lyre,
Mesmerized by the smell of jasmines,
Capturing moments like dreams,
Knowing eternity blooms earlier
In the purity of my thoughts.
I seek answers
To unspoken quandaries,
From the mysteries of the present,
To fate's unexplored chapters,
In twilight's subtle gleams,
And the silent whispers of the stars,
Where I found God, in His clemency,
Gazing through the zenith of my youth.
Beneath His watchful eyes,
Each dawn gifts strength,
Guarding virtues in goodness,
Harvesting the brightness
Of futures yet unshaped,
Crafted to perfection.
I looked at the world
Through the heart of a young man,
Rushing through translucent horizons,
Vaguely recalling the smell of jasmines,
In the aching comprehension of
Unacceptable imperfections.
Through the unsettled philosophy
Of the entwined mind and heart,
Here I stand,
In the vastness of my insignificance,
In the poverty of my wisdom,
In the quiet strength of my fortitude.
I face the harshest truths of existence,
In the voids of darkness,
Willing once more to unfold,
As it appears, I never reached,
At the summit of all promises and hopes,
Always hindered,
As it burns too soon,
And does not endure enough
To understand,
That the glorious tune of love
Needs imperfections to ascend.
I looked at the world
Through the soul of an old man,
Amidst the ruins of the past,
Drenched by the smell of jasmines,
Where my smiles are not in derision,
And my fears never tower.
Forever is met with mountains of hope,
Rising above the seeds of the tallest trees,
Planted with my descendants,
Where all futures persevere.
I believe in the lessons,
I did not have to bestow,
Where all the wisdom of the world,
In the eternity of my memories,
Leads me back,
Where I found God,
Between simplicity and anticipation,
Glancing through me
With all His grace,
Rebuilding once more,
With symmetry,
The innocence of faith.
