The Sound - Poem by Nicola Bowes

The sound of a scream from a broken body is silent
Unless told to fly on the wings of uncertainty
Because then even your deepest worries are made known to the world
Leaving you exposed and without the hope if ever being able to find yourself again
Or retrieve the missing pieces of your broken heart
