The Storm Inside
Rain clouds brew in the distance
The thunder signals war
My heart knows the danger
But my mind is unaware
Emotions flit like flies
I cannot see the light
What peril lies before me?
Will I win or lose the fight?
Trapped in a marred body
This soul screams and swims
She drowns in her own tears
The light hauntingly dims
