By Mohammad A Yousef
In the dim light of antiquity,
where shadows wove the fabric of destiny,
there stood Sibyl,
a beacon of whispered truths,
cloaked in the mystery of ages,
her eyes deep as the oracles of old,
radiating an ancient wisdom,
collected like dew on the petals of dawn.
Her voice, a soft echo,
drifting through the marble halls of time,
carried the weight of prophecy,
a thread spun from the loom of fate,
each syllable a spark,
igniting the hearts of those who dared to listen,
each word, a fragment of the cosmos,
woven into the tapestry of human longing.
Sibyl, the Oracle,
dancing on the edge of the unknown,
her heart a compass,
guiding seekers through the labyrinth
of their own desires and fears.
She wore the stars like a crown,
their light illuminating the shadows
that clung to the corners of her soul,
as if she were both the candle and the wind,
the flame and the darkness that sought to consume it.
In her presence,
people fell silent,
as if the world itself held its breath,
awaiting the revelation of her visions.
Her laughter, a cascade of silver,
echoed through the chambers of the divine,
while her tears,
like the rain,
spoke of the sorrow woven into the fabric of existence,
a tapestry rich with the colors of joy and despair.
She walked the line between the realms,
a bridge between the seen and unseen,
her essence both fierce and tender,
a tempest of emotions swirling,
like the winds of a summer storm.
In her heart beat the pulse of the universe,
each thrum a reminder of the impermanence of life,
the beauty in the fragility of dreams,
the promise that hope blooms even in the cracks of despair.
Sibyl, the seer,
with hands stained by the ink of prophecies,
etched in the dust of forgotten civilizations,
her spirit untamed,
like wildflowers growing through concrete,
reminding us that truth can thrive
even in the most barren of places.
She knew the weight of silence,
the power of unspoken words,
and in her gaze,
the secrets of the cosmos danced,
twirling into the depths of human hearts,
a reminder that we are all seekers,
hungry for the light that guides us through the dark.
So let us gather beneath the stars,
and listen to the echoes of her voice,
for Sibyl whispers still,
her legacy etched in the breath of the wind,
the rustle of leaves,
the murmur of rivers flowing through time,
an eternal reminder that we, too,
are part of the grand narrative,
woven into the very fabric of existence,
and in our stories,
the essence of Sibyl lives on,
a testament to the power of vision,
of dreams that dance like fireflies
in the night of our shared humanity.
