The Terror Of Nightmares Poem by Farah Taskin

The Terror Of Nightmares

Does anyone remember 2019?
Pandora's box was open
Our life felt like house arrest
The mask was a lifesaver
It was suffocating
Sadly, lessons seem to remain unlearned
The unrest is building
Archaeologists know that many civilisations were destroyed
The signs remain
Humans have eyes, but are blind
What are they proud of?
Can they prevent their own death if they want to?
