The Times I Live In Poem by ONY ME.

Is the world going crazy
Or is it just me,
With all the violence and crime
I don’t get the mentality.

Life is worthless
They’ve proven that,
By killing a kid
Just for his hat.

They no longer stick to using their fists
Now they are carrying knives,
Apparently we get possessions these days
By taking peoples lives.

Women fear going out at night
Just to casually roam,
The elderly fear being left alone
Feeling vulnerable in their home.

To sleep beneath the stars at night
Can only be a dream,
For that is not reality
Things are never what they seem.
