The Transcendent's Presence Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Transcendent's Presence

The Transcendent's presence—
astonishing, inscrutable—
cradles my heart,
that fragile vessel
brimming with eternal light.

Yet You abide, all-pervading.
Still I marvel
when my eyes deem You absent—
that ancient illusion
of wounded sight.

Each morning,
darkening my eyes with kohl,
I learn anew to behold the forms
once veiled
in the Transcendent's night.

And those forms themselves,
illumined beneath dawn's golden veil,
teach me to perceive
the hidden radiance
concealed in every guise.

I stand astonished,
upright in the world,
as that Presence unfolds
in countless forms—
beside me,
within me,
as me.

Yet in the still hush between breaths,
I wonder why wonder itself
could never be wholly mine—
why every revelation
yearns to dissolve
into its source.

Still, the Transcendent's presence
has never departed.
It is here—
always here—
burning soundlessly
behind the lattice of forms,
shining ever deeper
in its infinite silence.
