Snapchat, a tool for self-expression, A platform for instant gratification. But the filters and effects, oh what a distraction, A source of constant evaluation.
Our looks, our expressions, all on display, For all to see, every single day. We strive for perfection, with every snap, To get more likes, to fit the app's trap.
But in our quest for validation, We lose sight of our own creation. Our self esteem takes a hit, As we compare ourselves to every fit.
We start to believe, what others say, That our looks aren't good enough, in every way. But the truth is, we're unique and beautiful, With flaws and imperfections, that are truly wonderful.
So let's break free from Snapchat's hold, And embrace our own story, that's still untold. For our self esteem should come from within, Not from a screen, not from a win.
