The Trees Don't Think It's Spring Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

The Trees Don't Think It's Spring

The trees don't think it's spring time yet
And there's no tulip, rose or violet
So though you tease this guy
I can not forget
That love takes time
And no one can quickly tame a pet

Yes though the winter sun sets
It might still be cold for a few more days I bet
So i'll give you time
Cause love is not fast like a jet
Yes patience is the key
To improve the courtship

So when spring truly comes
You no longer leave or run
Then I will truly say I do
My butterfly pretty one
When the blossoms in the trees do bloom
And the robins and the bluebirds from their winter home come
