THE TRUE AND KNOWN NAME NEVER CAME Poem by Luz Mary Giraldo

THE TRUE AND KNOWN NAME NEVER CAME

The bird

stretched out in the desert of men
and each morning
tangled up in their eyes.

They tried to build
a word
but there were not enough stones:
NOBODY COULD UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER
FROM THEN ON
