The Truth Of Real Self Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Truth Of Real Self

If the fearful voices in my mind fall silent,
a gentle wave of peace flows through me—
with the One who has always been,
before the cosmos,
before I was more than thought.
This is the truth of real self.

When I move in harmony with the One,
I see that only One speaks
through my words, through my deeds,
without hesitation.
This is the truth of real self.

Every sound, every motion
is stirred by the same presence;
the same One binds
soul and body together,
the same river
runs through my veins—
life itself flowing.
This is the truth of real self.

The same One—sometimes playful,
sometimes sorrowful,
sometimes fiery, sometimes serene—
walks with me,
joy deep in every step,
dwelling in each particle of my being.
This is the truth of real self.

This is the One
without reason of its own,
bearing a thousand names;
to give it a name is only illusion—
yet I am not mad.
This is the truth of real self.

I live in the echo of the One,
with boundless passion;
with the strength of the spirit,
I awaken in the kingdom within,
and in the wonders outside,
I witness the same light.
This is the truth of real self.

Solitude is essential—
in quiet retreat, or amidst the world;
only then can the ineffable connection
be felt in one's true self.
Know this:
every particle of the universe
is inseparably woven,
right here, right now—
it can neither be diminished nor increased.
This is the truth of real self.
