THE TURNING OF THE LANDSCAPE Poem by ALEK VUKADINOVIĆ

THE TURNING OF THE LANDSCAPE

I say lamp and thedreamgives light
The brightness of dawn opens up
I say lamp for the second time
And the word does not know itself
It is already living elsewhere
The light, which circles around it
Is lighting up another house

From one landscape to another
As the eternal sojourn of a region
Wondrous houses seek each other out
Each one becomes another's wing
On the guest's over - hard journey
Each illuminates the other
Underneath the sky strong houses

I say lamp and the dream Sparkles
Strikes down the bright dawn with its wing
And in another place I say
Lamp that brightest of all words
And with another part of its strength
It withholds its own dawn
Though already living with another gleam
The light which circles around it
Is unraveling another house
