The Unknown Friend

I met a friend 
A new unknown friend 
I never met her before
But she is a friend just the same.

She is from someplace
Don't know where 
But since she's a friend I will
That's what friends do

We haven't said much yet
But I know she has things to say
I want to say things too
Since we are friends we will

When you meet an unknown 
They become known as a friend
It doesn't take a lifetime, you just know 
That this is a new unknown friend
