The Unstruck Bell Poem by Mystic Qalandar

The Unstruck Bell

Here, without there,
in the silence between,
the Name without name
is both spark and scene.

No void holds a shadow
untouched by the lips of the One;
nothing exists apart
from the breath blown into the mist.

This moulded clay—
not cage, but bell,
unstruck, holding light within;
each ringing sound, a thread
in the garment of the Unnamable.

Here—in the dry, resonant clay;
there—in the dust of a star:
one note from one flute
pervades the hollow and the whole.

No here, no there—
only the soundless sound
of the One
resounding through all.
