The Unwound Thread
From the beginning,
it was always about
changing who I was
As a newborn I crawled
along and felt starved
through timeless ages.
I was always hungry,
and I loved the leafy green
leaves in life's sweet garden.
I became plump through my
constant eating. I was tired
and I wanted to sleep.
I made a bed from silk and
began to dream about flying
through endless meadows.
Beyond my dream I awoke
spread my wings to
fly from blossom to bloom.
