The Velvet Rock Poem by Mubeen Sadhika

The Velvet Rock

Alpine movements needed
in that swanky outfield
the rough altitudes
meandering rivers
merciless valleys daunting
vision allured through
prophecies vanished in
platitudes of collections

Sleek and shiny
ferns covering the
sturdy stern toughness
chirps filling the
eerie silent din
the fragrance of air
plenitudes the breath
chilling freshness
blossoming the cheers

Thorns beneath the gloss
hardness behind the sheen
grunts disguise the coziness
asphyxiating aroma around
secrets embedded gloom
shrivelling cruelty mushroom
abandoned abyss underneath
camouflaged mask beside
in a flash besmirched peak
cursed chasm with
boundless ultimate pinnacle.
