The Vision Poem by Richard Trembath

The Vision

From out the darkened realm you came
With light-bedazzled eyes,
A shooting star that briefly blazed
Across the midnight skies.

Your splendour turned the night to day,
The darkness into light,
But all too soon your blaze was gone
Unto the eternal night.

And all my mind is unsure now
If you were but a dream
And if my eyes alone saw what
No other's eyes have seen.
