The Walk Poem by ziyanda mbasa

The Walk

Nelson Mandela was the dawn that rose on the, African sky.
He was the hope that we will reach our expectations.
He was the light that shone brighter,
And all our nights turned into day.
He made us believe we can overcome the impossible.

He was an open university.
He never just talked the talk,
He walked the talk.
He was the moon that made the nights lighter.

A bible yes he was,
The one in which not only christians read,
But the people of all religions read.

He was the bridge that we crossed on to the other side,
To the land of promise.
Madiba the African king.
Lala kahle father of our Nation.
Rest in peace tata
