When my mind says no, my heart knows it's yes
When my mind says don't, my heart knows I should
When my mind says you can't, my heart knows I've got this
When my mind says hate is effortless, my heart knows love is worth the effort
When my mind says weakness is your strength, my heart knows I'm strong
When my mind says give in, my heart knows if I resist, I will be free of guilt
When my mind says quit, my heart knows perseverance is a victory
When my mind says stay a little while longer, my heart knows it's time to leave
When my mind says have another, my heart knows I've had my fill
When my mind says you are losing, my heart knows I've got what it takes to stay in the fight
When my mind says revenge, my heart knows forgiveness is my freedom
When my mind says you're not enough, my heart knows I am because I'm priceless
When my mind says you're not beautiful, my heart knows my inner beauty matters most
My mind tells lies
It thinks it knows it all
It may corrupt my heart for a time
But, my heart knows the truth
And, will always prevail
My conscience is the judge of them both
It will trouble my mind for its lies
OR
Reward my heart with peace!
