The Way South Poem by Johann Thorarensen

The Way South

Rating: 3.5

Deep down South
was where the road
once led me
away from nowhere.

Dust settled sunset
sat on the faded case
by my side
in a wounded hand.

Glass-colored cuts
hanging on to dear life
personal belongings
dirt stained walk.
