From the height of the highest realms,
descend to the depth of the lowest;
from the Light that rests beyond the clouds,
glide down to the darkened sky;
from the darkened sky,
drift to the Abode of Rain;
from the Abode of Rain,
trickle to the place where all things grow.
From that place of growth,
rise to the Dwelling Place;
from the Mountains,
spread across the Plains;
from the Plains,
ascend to the Throne's great height—
and from that height,
reach the Chair that extends
over the heavens and the earth.
---
Yet who can be compared with You?
Who is Your equal?
Who has seen You?
Who has reached You?
Who dares ask You for a glimpse?
Who can lift their eyes
to Your Countenance?
Who can question Your decision
to reveal—or to withhold?
Who can defy Your command
or withstand Your will?
Who can fathom
Your vastness and Your depth?
Who can number
Your countless manifestations?
Who can be like You—
or unlike You?
Who can stand beside You
and yet remain apart?
Who can name You
without being silenced
by Your Namelessness?
---
And yet—
Your road runs through the whirlwind,
and through the stillness.
Your way is in the storm,
and in the calm.
Your path flows through living waters
and through fields of frozen ice.
The stars are Your emissaries of light—
thousands upon thousands,
myriads upon myriads—
sent forth as signs
to guide all who seek
the true way,
the Truth.
That they may fulfill Your mission
without fear,
without dread,
without awe,
without trembling,
without terror,
without dismay;
but with hope,
with recognition,
with remembrance,
with patience,
and with prayer.
And through these,
they open—
the inward eye,
the listening heart,
the hidden door,
the way within the Way.
