If you think in terms of Hatred
And distort people by your un -charitable gossip
Or try to distort them by your painful stings
Your mind will never forgo this sin
And the guilt you will feel
Will follow you
From the past to present and future too

If you think in terms of Revenge
A burning fire will surround you
This wild kind of justice will burn your soul
life will be bitter and never better
In this heating furnace your peace will scatter

If you think in terms of sorrow
Morbid doubts will shadow you
And in this darkness of depression
Your future from your past will borrow
Past repressions to dawn a miserable to- morrow

if you think in terms of Love
In life in truth is nothing above
Sincere thoughts and true love for sure
Thoughts that are divine and very pure

If you really think this way
you will be happy and ever gay
For people who ever think so great
Feel for and act straight
Are the people great and strong
