The World’s Too Blind

The world can’t see, or comprehend
Can’t value second birth
She can’t conceive, how God would send
His Son to serve on earth

Through pride, she’s deaf! so full of doubt
She’s blind to life on high
Oblivious; what Christ’s about
Or why He came to die

She fails to feel her Saviour’s love
Can’t touch Salvation’s hand
Can’t find the way to rise above
To dwell the Promised Land

She needs to take a look within
Take count of how she lives
Repent of all her wayward sin
Through He that Jesus gives

The Spirit of “The First & Last”
God’s “Flame” who dwells inside
The “Purge” of all our sinful past
Of filth we’ve sought to hide

To Him! man’s deeds are plain to see
Evident, every thought
So God from bound, as well as free
Receives a true report

The Lord will rid of worldly ties
Will cleanse of wayward shame
Revealed through Jesus’ perfect eyes
“Salvation’s Holy Flame”

The few! Who recognise their fault
Who seek their Lord and King
Become in Christ, a savouring salt
God, endless life will bring……….
