The Worth Poem by Md. Moniruzzaman

The Worth

Rating: 5.0

What is the worth of things?
The gold, the silver, the diamond, and the iron.
What is the measurement scale of the merit?
What is the difference between gold and iron?

Both the gold and the iron, both the metals, both are used by men;
From the very beginning of the civilization
All the time, all the ages, and all the occasions.
Even iron is more useful than gold;
Where gold increases only the beauty as ornaments,
The whole development of the civilization runs with the iron.

O the rational beings and the genius creatures
You know the worth, you know the real value;
You value the gold and neglect the iron.
But learn, learn the truth;
Open the close eyes and broaden the narrow mind.
These simple metals can make you cheerful
But can’t make you any profit.
The eyes, the ears, the heads, the hands, and the legs;
You the mightiest soul,
Take the attempt with truthful regard,
Use the form along with utmost intelligence.

I can see the day not far from my vision,
I behold the scene of the glorious heaven,
I hear the holy sound of the triumph of the victorious success.
Heaven comes, Heaven comes to celebrate
And proclaims the victory, the supremacy of the soul;
The pride of Lord,
The pride for which Lord has created the soul,
Not only a mere mortal one but also a rational loving creature.
