You wore a smile so soft and bright,
Pretending everything felt right.
You spoke of trust, you spoke of care,
Yet envy quietly settled there.
You asked where I had been each day,
Who came to visit, who chose to stay.
You called it friendship, warm and true...
I simply smiled and studied you.
You offered advice I never sought,
As though my life required your thought.
You wrapped control in words so kind,
Hoping I'd surrender heart and mind.
You praised my name while I was near,
Then fed another's doubtful ear.
You hoped my footsteps lost their way...
I knew your wish from yesterday.
You watched my victories with a grin,
Praying somehow I wouldn't win.
You counted blessings, one by one,
Wishing each would come undone.
You thought I never knew your game,
The hidden spite, the borrowed shame.
How innocent you must have been...
To think I couldn't see beneath your grin.
I've crossed too many storms in life,
I've learned to recognise disguised strife.
I've met your kind more than a few...
Long before I ever met you.
You watched my journey, page by page...
I watched your mask fall off the stage.
You thought you were studying me...
Haha! ! I was studying you, babe
You chose the wrong heart to outsmart...
You can't defeat a watchful mind,
Or fool a soul that's read mankind.
The mask you wear may fool the crowd...
But it never fooled me.
Because WIN VENTURA
has always been awake
behind every mask,
and every smile! ! !
