Their Fall With Actions Befriends Poem by Boniface Mukeshimana

Their Fall With Actions Befriends

Their fall with actions befriends

A good teacher will give one example
At least, for his lesson to pass like light.
David and Goliath made a good sample
Of discrepancy between size and might.
The more the Gathian believed in ample
Power by the size, the faster fell his night.
The father1 of winner's friend2 no lesson
Found in the sign; false suspicion set him
The blessed hero to chase, and in sudden
The anointment and crown left him in steam.
Yet, the present world can't draw from the pen
As students who to seek success ne'er seem.
The more past times failures come to men's minds
The sooner their fall with actions befriends.

Note:
1. Saul, King of Israel
2. Jonathan, son of King Saul and friend of David
