My life used to be filled with pain,
You took the time to heal me.
I used to be so scared of the unknown,
You took me by the hand and helped me.
I used to be just another person,
You made me stand out from a crowd.

You make me smile when I wanna cry.
You helped me become strong.
You showed me what it's like,
To be part of a world that means something.

I may not be that great,
But you took the chance on me.
Sometimes I don't understand why,
But I'm so glad you choose me.
