There Is Always Something More - Poem by Hannah McGill

There is always something more
Behind every open and closed door
Theres lies a hidden substance
Waiting to be explored

Behind the forgotten smile
Lies the forgotten child
Wishing to be relived

Behind the angry glare
Lies the soul praying to be spared
Protecting itself the only way it knows how

Behind the hardest problem
Lies the greatest solution
Waiting to be found

Behind the anguishing pain
Lies the healing happiness
Waiting to be felt

Behind the concealing mask
Lies the troubled individual
Wishing to be understood

Behind the happy ending
Lies the hardest journey
Waiting for you to follow

Knowing this I promise you,
Behind every open and closed door
Lies something more.
