There Is No Tomorrow Poem by Eyelizabeth Bax

There Is No Tomorrow

you may leave tomorrow or you may leave today
Eye will find out when you're on your way
Eye can not blame another but
the one who draws down on me in the mirror
do us all a favor and turn out the lights
the lurking demons seek to cast you out
little whispers consume every waking hour
how can this moment take my power
Watching it all burn to ash
flipped over and disqualified
worried within the clutches of the devil
with all the right words and all the knowledge
in my own unworthiness Eye get lost in my shame
only here Eye sit with myself to blame
if only the tongue Eye could tame
over and freaking over again
there is no rest for the wicked
my mind they haunt and feast
any shred of hope that could mustar
from the faith turns fear
what if God sees Eye am not worth it too
he has left and forsaken me in a cold dark way
Eye never want you to hurt this way
please believe me when eye say -
Eye loved you full and fierce.
the love eye could only give and not take
down in my bones My soul aches
just to feel you close again
you were a long lost friend
we got carried away and look at us now
strangers in a strange land
eye reach for a hand that isnt there
all thanks to me
