At birth! We’re all inside the same
Just looking out for “ME”
We suit ourselves, to sin and shame
Till Jesus; sets us free
The world; we then, behold as strange
Amazed! We see the view
Within our lives, there’s been a change
Because of birth, anew!
There must! Be change, or something’s wrong
We’re still wrapped up in sin
In Jesus church; we won’t stay long
Unless! We ask Him in
Alone; good works is not a sign
That Jesus dwells our soul
Nor is partaking bread and wine
Enough to make us whole
It’s God within! We need to feel
To Christ, we all must turn
That God may give His Holy Seal
For all our chaff to burn
No devil’s filth can we afford
To carry round inside
Where else, would live a Holy Lord?
Who for this reason died!
Give up each crutch, on which you lean
With evil, have no part
Invite God’s Spirit make it clean
Within your wayward heart
When change has brought your doubt to burn
When love, has come to reign
When through mistakes, we truly learn
In Christ! We’re born again.
